The overarching goal of Wu lab is to uncover the fundamental principles by which genetic information is encoded in the genome and interpreted by diverse cell types across the body. We aim to understand how these mechanisms are disrupted during aging and in disease states, including neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders. By elucidating these processes, we strive to drive the development of innovative therapies for human diseases. To accomplish this, we will integrate high-throughput functional assays, CRISPR-based technologies, and quantitative analyses in mammalian systems.
